Dimensions: 40mm diameter | 49mm total length (including stem) | 13mm stem length | 15ml capacity

Regular: Offering a nice balance of comfort and capacity, this is the standard size Inoya that suits most people with a regular flow (2.5 tampon capacity). Average wear time of 8 hours depending on your level of flow.

Dimensions: 44mm diameter | 51mm total length (including stem) | 11mm stem length | 22ml capacity

Super: The highest capacity, recommended for users with a heavy flow or who need maximum wear time (3 tampon capacity). Average wear time of 12 hours depending on your level of flow.

Dimensions: 46mm diameter | 55mm total length (including stem) | 11mm stem length | 28ml capacity

Please note that your Inoya Cup is not supplied sterile and must be sterilised before first use.

Insertion

  1. Once your cup is sterilised, wash your hands before insertion.
  2. Decide on which fold you will use to insert the cup. The punch-down fold is the recommended fold to use with your Inoya cup.
  3. Squat or lift one leg and rest in on the toilet seat.
  4. Separate your labia and gently insert the folded cup into your vagina. The opening of the cup should be facing upwards and the loop should be facing downwards.
  5. Once the cup is fully inside your vagina, gently push on the bottom of the cup to help it open fully.
  6. To check correct positioning, run your finger around the base of the cup to ensure it has fully opened.
  7. You can now wear your cup for up to 12 hours (Depending on your level of flow) before needing to empty and re-insert it.

Removal

  1. Wash your hands and sit in a comfortable position on the toilet. The shower is also a great place to remove a cup.
  2. Carefully open your labia with your thumb and forefinger.
  3. If you can’t feel your Inoya cup stem, bear down gently with your pelvic floor muscles to push it lower down the vaginal canal.
  4. Use one finger to hook the loop of the cup and another finger to gently push the side of the cup and release the seal.
  5. Once the seal is broken, gently remove the cup by pulling it out by the loop.
  6. Empty the contents into the toilet, rinse under cold water or wipe with toilet tissue, and then re-insert.

Sanitize: At the start and end of your period, sterilise your cup by immersing it in boiling water for 4-5 minutes or by using the Inoya microwave steriliser.

Wash: During your cycle, rinse your Inoya cup in cold water to help prevent staining. Use a menstrual cup cleanser to clean the cup. Avoid any cleanser containing surfactants,  fragrance, alcohol, or oils that may irritate your vagina or cause deterioration of your cup.

Store: Allow your cup to air dry completely and then store it in its cotton bag (or other breathable container) until your next period. Some discolouration may occur over time. This is normal.

If the silicone of your Inoya cup is sticky or shows any sign of deterioration, it’s time to replace it.

Inoya Period Cup FAQ's

Be sure that you are able to remove it without the use of the loop before trimming it off. You may also have a very low cervix and may need a shorter Inoya cup.

The Inoya Period Cup is a softer silicone with a softer rim than many other brands of menstrual cup. If you have very strong pelvic floor muscles, you may find that the they crush the rim of the Inoya leading to leaking. Inoya do offer a 60 day risk free trial, so why not see how it goes?
