    I think the website is slightly misleading regarding sizing. I chose the size I did because of my (older) age but I haven’t had kids nor that much sex and so I really didn’t need the larger size as the site specifies. I think it should be more specific about the criteria for the sizing instead of assuming an older women has a looser vaginal tract without explicitly stating that.

    MCA Online are amazing! Orders arrived within a week and the website is so easy to navigate! There are so many cup options and the accessories! I burned one of my pans trying to sterilise my cup. 🙁 Fortunately, the microwavable cup steriliser was available for purchase on the website! I only wish I had gotten it sooner!     I would not recommend that cup as for my self it caused me to get a Prolapse. The suction seal is very strong on that one. so I will attempt again with the other cup I have which I think I just need to master the technique.

Each person has a different cervix height ranging from low, mid, or high. Cervix position can also change during your cycle. It’s important to know your cervix height to ensure the cup your purchase won’t be too long and fall out, or too short and be difficult to reach.

While there are several differences between menstrual cups and discs, here are the 3 main ones:

  1. A menstrual disc stays in place using suction around the vaginal wall, whereas a disc stays in place by lodging behind the pubic bone.
  2. A menstrual disc is messier to remove than a menstrual cup.
  3. A menstrual disc can be worn during sex, whereas a menstrual cup cannot.

No. That’s what makes reusable menstrual cups and discs so popular. A correctly fitting and inserted cup or disc cannot be felt and should not cause any discomfort. They provide leak free, all day protection so you can get on with doing ALL the things you enjoy most!

Both menstrual cups and discs can be worn for up to (but not longer than) 12hrs. However, if you have a very heavy flow, you may need to empty your cup or disc every 3-4hrs on your heaviest days. Knowing your level of flow will help you work out how often you may need to empty your cup or disc.
