What is the FemmyCyle?
The FemmyCycle is a receptacle placed inside the vagina to collect blood and cellular debris that is exuded from the uterus during menstruation. Unlike traditional menstrual cups, the FemmyCycle features a no-spill foldable rim that helps eliminate removal mess and also provides better leak protection. Simply unfold the rim to empty and clean. The ring stem design significantly increases comfort, while also making it easier to locate the cup for removal. The FemmyCycle menstrual cup can be kept inserted for up to 8 hours, depending on each individual’s level of menstrual flow. The rim of the FemmyCycle is firm enough to ensure it can be properly inserted, but the body of the cup is a bit softer than the other Silicone menstrual cups.
FemmyCycle Features:
- 100% Soft Medical Grade Silicone provides a custom fit to your body
- Physician-designed
- Patented no-spill rim design for less mess
- Ring stem for comfort and easier removal

I love this one, it’s my favourite cup. So comfortable, I have to put an alarm to to remind me to take it out because I forget I am wearing it!
The ring is super easy to get hold of to remove.
I don’t need to change it nearly as much as tampons so I can go out without worrying about remembering to take my tampons with me.

I have tried multiple different cups and had no success until the FemmyCycle. I have a retroverted uterus with a low cervix and the FemmyCycle is perfect!

When first researching cups many years ago I came across the FemmyCycle. I did my research decided I really wanted that one but then couldn’t find a stockist in Australia. When I found it on this website I was so excited to finally be able to purchase the cup I’ve always wanted. I find other cups uncomfortable and annoying. Trying to make sure it’s completely unfolded and that I wouldn’t have leakage is a nightmare for me. The FemmyCycle is honestly amazing. And if it wasn’t for the fact I know I’ve put it in I honestly wouldn’t know it’s their. The loop on the bottom for removal is 100 times easier than the other cups I’ve tried. I honestly cannot fault it. I’m also surprised that the first cup I originally chose was the perfect one for me. And I’m so glad I’ve finally got one! Thanks guys!!

Great design! Easy to use once I got used to it (even on the first go). Very full cup – no leaks! I’m very glad to of found a cup that fits well and has both a handle and no-spill design – fantastic!

I have only just started using a cup so this is the only brand I’ve tried. I had absolutely no issues using it and was really impressed with it. I didn’t have any leaks or mess and found it super easy and comfortable. It made my cycle super easy and I didn’t have to worry about being caught out or having to change at inconvenient times or locations. Definitely would recommend.

Worth the money, at first it feels a bit weird but it amazed me on how much it captured. It’s cleaner and I would also recommend getting some menstrual underwear as support.

The cup works well, I had no leaks, however, found that occasionally the cup would suction my cervix into it and would become exceptionally painful and crampy, and very hard to remove, and painful to remove, I also tried the pelvi cup large as I have had children, and I have found it to be a fantastic cup, and would highly recommend to choose that one instead .

The Femmy Cycle is a lot more comfortable for me than other cups (I don’t feel it inside me at all). I did have a few problems getting it not to leak in the first cycle (it’s a little different to use than other cups) but after some trial and error it has been going really well!

Was a bit tricky to start with as it’s different to other cups but I wouldn’t go any other product again.

The most important advice I can offer when buying a cup is to choose one based on knowledge of your own body, rather than other people’s expectations. Despite being in my 40’s, I chose the teen/petite size cup, as I’ve never been pregnant and found other cups too large for comfort.
I chose the femmyCycle cup for a number of reasons: it’s smaller than other cups (making it easier to insert), the manufacturer states that it doesn’t have to fully open in order to work (meaning it will conform to the user’s body), it has a spill guard, and a ring pull (to aid removal). Despite the smaller size it was still quite difficult to insert, but I found that a dab of water based lube made the process *much* easier. The ring pull is a huge advantage over stem type grips, although still difficult to reach when the cup rides up during wear; however, the ring enabled me to attach a small length of ribbon, making removal similar to that of a tampon.
The fact that it can be worn for up to 12 hours means I can sleep all night without worrying about flooding a pad, and it allows me to be out and about without having to worry about finding public toilets to change pads or tampons. Pairing the cup with reusable cloth pads has enabled me to avoid producing any of the usual waste associated with using disposable pads and tampons.

Leaks constantly – unusable

Hi Louise, Thank you for your review of the FemmyCycle, and we are sorry to hear of the leaking you have experienced. FemmyCycle do suggest a few tips which are different to when using other menstrual cup brands. Firstly, fold the cup into a “C” (cup will be shaped like a tampon). Fold it by pinching the rim together so as to ‘trap’ air inside the cup (this trapped air is what creates the suction/seal once inserted). Insert with the fold facing down towards the rectum (like an upside down U), once inserted the cup should open up on its own as much as it needs to. Do not worry about it not unfolding all the way, it should still function properly. Once inserted, only insert until the removal ring is sitting inside the vaginal opening or resting on the vaginal opening. Then give the removal ring a slight tug; in order to lock it into place and secure it from leaks. It is even OK if it hangs out a little, as it will aid in easier removal and ensure that the cup isn’t too close to your cervix. Please let us know if you have tried these suggestions and if you have more success 🙂

FemmyCycle was Very easy to remove thanks to the ring stem however the rounded shape makes it hard to insert and position properly. Ended leaking very badly because the wall is too soft for me to position properly. Diva cup was harder to remove but a lot easier to insert and didn’t leak. I’m not sure I’ll still use FemmyCycle.

This cup would not open when inserted, no matter what I tried. This resulted in really bad leaking issues. Really disappointed that such an expensive product is not at all functional.

It worked great the first month, but each month afterwards I got more and more leakage. It’s a very easy to use design, but maybe a bit wide for some people after using other cup designs.

Very happy with this cup. It’s my second one, and I had found my previous cup would frequently get painfully suctioned onto the cervix, making it difficult to remove. I also found that the “stalk” at the bottom would stick out uncomfortably as the cup slipped down through the day, but it was hard to remove so I didn’t want to trim it short. This cup is a much better fit: no painful suction, the round loop handle makes removal easier and it’s a little shorter so it doesn’t slip out like my old one. Very happy, and the non spill rim is fantastic. Highly recommend!

I ordered the low cervix cup and it’s amazing. Previously I was using a regular shaped “menstrual cup” and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working for me. After much research I came across this menstrual cup that had a unique design and that also offered an option for a low cervix. Since finding this cup I’ll never be looking back! An excellent option for the environment, your wallet and heavy periods!

I haven’t used any other menstrual cup, and from other reviews I’ve looked at, it seems I’ve chosen the best and most comfortable one.
I can’t even feel it and is super easy to take out because of the ring at the end
